  • ITI Dental Implant System

    Overview:

    Reviewed by: Dr. Kristen Dority

Implant system with a proven 25-year reliability. Usually only one surgical procedure is necessary and fabrication of replacement teeth can begin after six to 12 weeks of healing.

    Detailed Information:
The ITI dental implant system is one of many brands of implants on the market. This brand of dental implants is known as a "single-stage oral implant system" that requires a single surgery.

ITI dental Implants are available with two different coatings, TPS or SLA. The SLA coating reduces the healing period — or the time it takes for implants to fuse to the bone — for healthy patients to six weeks.
Most implant systems require healing times of four to six months between the setting of the implant and the "loading" of a crown or bridge. In patients with good bone quality and quantity, the ITI brand of implant with the SLA coating shortens this period to six weeks.
ITI implants have been shown to be successful for both the front and back teeth in the upper and lower arches of the mouth. Further, manufactures of this brand of implant system say that "natural tooth shape is guaranteed by the anatomically adapted implant neck for different indications."
