A good friend of mine, who works as a research assistant in the medical field, told me that there have been some studies showing that fluoride, even in the small doses we get in our water and toothpaste, can add up and cause brain damage. I know that fluoride is technically a toxin, but it's been completely accepted by most public health experts for minimal use. Is there anything to this? I can't find much information about it, but I feel like her position gives her some authority on the subject. Do they even sell toothpaste without fluoride?
