A bridge can be more disadvantageous than beneficial. Since it requires the involvement of three teeth, if a problem were to occur with any of them, the entire bridge would have to be replaced. A dental implant, on the other hand, treats different teeth separately. This way, it also helps to prevent the tooth bone and the effect is quite natural unlike bridges.

But a bridge may be the best option if the teeth on adjacent sides of the missing tooth need a crown.
