Hi..

Really after implant-borne teeth i feel perfectly natural during talking, eating and laughing.

In the 24 hours after a dental implant you are likely to experience mild soreness, minor bleeding and swelling. These symptoms can be treated with over-the-counter medications recommended by your oral surgeon. Most people can return to work the day after the surgery. You may need to eat soft foods for five to seven days after the surgery to place the posts. Dental implants can also make your teeth sensitive, so very hot or cold foods should be avoided. A recovery period of at least three to six months can be expected while the bone grows around the titanium posts that have been implanted. This process may induce periods of soreness.

I would like to hear about your experiences with dental implants. Many dentists offer "Success stories" on their websites, but these always cover the end result of the procedure and how happy the people are with their new teeth. It's nice to see people smiling, but these before-and-after summaries leave many questions unanswered. How painful was implantation? How long did recovery take? How is eating with your implants? To be sure, the answers to these questions are different for everone, but it would still be very helpful and inspiring to hear some personal stories!
